Casa Leitão presents a curation of filigree pieces that perpetuate the rare and traditional knowledge of master craftsmen.
At the beginning of the 19th century, when José Pinto Leitão registered the "JPL" punch and opened his business in Rua das Flores in Porto in a small shop-workshop.
The typical pieces produced were "filigree artefacts", which in the north were taken to festivals, sung masses and festivals, with the most sought-after being gold chests, hearts and cords.
