Royal Treasure Museum x Leitão & Irmão

On December 1, 1887, King Luís I of Portugal granted the title of 'Crown Jewellers' to Casa Leitão & Irmão.

Over generations, metals and precious stones have been transformed into works of art, defining a unique style and character. Some of these works can, for the first time, be appreciated at the Royal Treasure Museum, located in the Ajuda Palace.

An opportunity now arises to celebrate history through a collaboration between the Royal Treasure Museum and Leitão & Irmão, which gives birth to the The Royal collection. A collection that, in addition to looking to the past, embraces innovation while continuing the tradition of the 'Crown Jeweller', invariably focused on modernity.

Together, we celebrate the fusion between the art of master jewellers and the works they crafted for the monarchy, highlighting a path where excellence and dreams meet.

We have created a chapter in history through the Royal Collection. A collection inspired by some of the emblematic pieces present in the Royal Treasure Museum: the Cofre da Cidadania, the Portuguese Royal Crown, and the 35.80 ct Rough Diamond.

To celebrate this collaboration between the Royal Treasure Museum and Leitão & Irmão, by purchasing pieces from this collection, you will receive 2 tickets to the Royal Treasure Museum.

Royal Collectable

The moulds of the Citizenship Vault, manufactured by Leitão & Irmão in 1907 and kept in the Leitão & Irmão workshops, were recovered 117 years later, giving rise to a revivalist and figurative piece with unique detail: the Rhinoceros, modelled by the Crown Jewellers in 1907.

Royal Jewels

The Crown is the icon of monarchy — a symbol of dreams and royalty — brought into the present through a contemporary interpretation by Leitão & Irmão’s designer… Every woman is a queen.

In platinum, gold, or silver with diamonds, it reflects the same dream that princesses, kings, and queens inspire in us.

The exclusivity of Leitão & irmão

Leitão & Irmão pieces are of their own design, developed and manufactured in the Leitão & Irmão workshops in Lisbon according to the most rigorous jewellery, goldsmithing and silverware techniques, with expertise passed down from generation to generation over 200 years of existence.

All the pieces are signed Leitão & Irmão, marked with the manufacturer's punch and certified by the INCM National Assay Office.

Some works are numbered and signed by the artist who created them.
