Leitão & Irmão presents a collaboration with model and entrepreneur Débora Montenegro, a partnership that brought to Casa Leitão the visual culture of those who had partaken in walking catwalks in the various corners of the world. The jewelry collection developed with Débora Montenegro brings to the collections of Leitão & Irmão a tangible approach to jewelry, through pieces intended to be used in the day-to-day, that combine and that inspire the expression of each one’s individuality. To widely known shapes, House Leitão adds the knowledge of the art of jewelry and the preciousness of materials such as gold and assorted stones, making the pieces truly timeless, and reflecting the unique personality of the house.

It was undoubtedly a challenge for Débora Montenegro to set up a production in Dubai, where “everything changes every day” as it is popularly said. At the same time as presenting the new collection at the closing of Expo Dubai 2020, the model worked with a local team to develop the concept of the new pieces – Find your Star, Desert Edition.

For Débora, the project means much more than a collection of jewelry. It is a reflection of everything she believes in and the cultivation of faith and trust in oneself, a message that she seeks to settle in everything she does. The collection is itself a tribute, to good times and bad times, and the acceptance that they exist and that they both make a great part of us.

And why the desert? The Desert is where, as in the sea the constellations are the map of travelers, the stars serve us as a guide, referring to the importance of the constellations that were explored in the first wave of the collection..

The choice of the Hidden Desert was decisive because it was a very particular riad and that would deliver a unique image to the whole campaign. After two hours of a bumpy journey against a sunset that was exhausting every second that passed, the result was a fascinating portrayal, where the colors and smells that were brought to us by the wind still live in our senses.

The collection is released in July, a month of torrid summers that inspired the freshness we find in the collection.
