As Contas de Viana são uma das tradições mais antigas da ourivesaria Portuguesa, especialmente no Minho.
A primeira Conta de Viana é normalmente oferecida pela madrinha aquando do nascimento ou batizado e depois ao longo dos anos em datas especiais, até serem suficientes para fazer um colar.
Na tradição, o objetivo era usar esse colar no dia do seu casamento, também como como símbolo de proteção e boa sorte para o futuro.

Leitão & Irmão pieces are of their own design, developed and manufactured in the Leitão & Irmão workshops in Lisbon according to the most rigorous jewellery, goldsmithing and silverware techniques, with expertise passed down from generation to generation over 200 years of existence.
All the pieces are signed Leitão & Irmão, marked with the manufacturer's punch and certified by the INCM National Assay Office.
Some works are numbered and signed by the artist who created them.
