Leitão & Irmão presents the set of the Our Lady of Fatima Crown Medal and necklace. A limited and numbered edition in gold and diamonds, evocative of the 1st Centenary of the Apparitions of Fatima. With a unique and exclusive design, it is a historical piece, full of symbolism.
In 1942, Casa Leitão was entrusted with thousands of jewels offered by the Portuguese people, intended to manufacture a queen's crown for Our Lady. The generosity of the offerings was so great that a second crown was eventually made in addition to the Precious Crown. This second crown is also a queen's crown, crafted in gilt silver, called the Crown of Roses.
In this crown, which is worn on the image of Our Lady during every day of the year except holidays, the theme of roses stands out, also reminding us of the miracle of the roses and the memory of Saint Elizabeth, wife of King Diniz and Queen of Portugal in the late 14th century. On the gold and diamond medal, the crown of roses is sculpted, and on the gold necklace, a charm in the shape of a rose with a diamond in the center stands out.
