‘Promessa de Amor’ collection brings to jewellery the forms of the stained glass windows present in the Batalha Monastery. In the play of light and shadow these cause inside the Monastery.
The name ‘Promessa de Amor’ brings together two themes that come together in the Batalha Monastery:
King D. João I’s promise – If he won the Battle of Aljubarrota he would build a monastery in the area.
The brave knights “Lovers’ Wing” – made up of young soldiers who fought for Portugal inspired by the one they were in love with.
