Leitão & Irmão is happy to disclose the origin of its raw materials, namely precious metals, and thereby help promote sustainable luxury.
Precious metals
Leitão & Irmão purchases its precious metals, platinum, gold and silver, in their pure state. The vast majority are already recycled from different industrial activities.

Recycling
We reuse the dust from the sandpaper by working it into an open drawer where all the small shavings are recovered. Manufacturing waste is recycled into new pieces of jewellery.
Manufacturing
The precious metals we purchase come only from suppliers with RJC (Responsible Jewellery Council) accreditation or CoC (Chain of Custody) certification. This means they are monitored from when they are extracted at the mine to when they are sold as raw materials.
Leitão & Irmão keeps its responsible manufacturing practices under constant review, and values its most precious asset, its employees. It ensures that only the best manufacturing practices are used for sustainable luxury through certification and sourcing of raw materials.
