Buying jewelry is in itself an emotional act.
Those who give are looking for a way to convey something they often can't express in words, and those who buy for themselves are looking for a reflection of what they feel, materializing a set of emotions.
Since jewelry is something that complements our image, it should have an aesthetic character and tell us a story, which will make us feel special and unique when we wear it.
But creating jewelry goes beyond aesthetic criteria, they are pieces that we wear next to our bodies and their functionality and comfort are just as important as emotional criteria. This is where design comes into its own, its function is to connect the aesthetic with the rational, making the pieces an extension of ourselves.
So the designer has to have a multidisciplinary capacity, while thinking of objects as pieces that fulfill their function and improve it for people's needs, he looks for a wide range of elements that convey emotions in everything around him. Everything is important, a small conversation, a smile, a sadness, a book, a painting, a sculpture, an architectural element, a landscape, a play, a piece of music, a silence. From all of this and much more come forms, forms of enormous complexity, which for those who observe and marvel at them are simply beautiful!
References for inspiration in the creative process.
In my creative vision, emotion in jewelry starts with a concept, what they say! This narrative takes shape from materials such as gold, platinum and silver, which are able to express, from their brilliance or lack of it, a number of contrasts, creating a visual richness, transmitting luxury from the minimalism of the material. Precious stones bring an elegance to the minimalism of metals, where their color and brilliance complement a whole sensory harmony.”
