The Leitão & Irmão workshops, in operation since 1889, are the creative heart of the House. Here, generation after generation, master jewellers bring unique pieces to life, combining traditional craftsmanship with contemporary innovation.
Officially recognised by the Lisbon City Council as a “Shop with History”, our workshops embody the authenticity, heritage, and excellence of Portuguese jewellery. Each piece created reflects nearly a century and a half of dedication, artistry, and handcrafted perfection — preserving the legacy of one of the oldest jewellery houses in the country.
Equipped with a design and product development department, the House now combines traditional craftsmanship with advanced technological techniques.
The creative direction of the House — encompassing all areas from design and production to marketing, communication, and retail — is currently led by Ricardo Preto. This creative direction brings a global and international vision to the brand, aiming to unify and harmonise its various areas of leadership.
We'll take you on a fantastic tour of a jewelry, gold and silver workshop, where you'll see real gems coming out of the hands of our masters.
