Giant silver frappé | Shell and Snakes

The Frappé Cobras is a decorative piece that combines the art of working silver with a unique and fanciful design.

A seashell in your shape made entirely by hand from silver foilthrough hammer and chisel technique by the master silversmiths of the Leitão & Irmão workshops.

To the grandiose shell are added at the base and upper edge two water snakes carved directly into the piece and transformed into silver through casting.

The detail, expression and texture of the snakes is entirely created through the chiseling technique, where a chiseler draws the expression and texture of the animal.

Snakes, with their meaning of renewal, power and mysteryThis gives the piece a unique character.

This piece was designed to serve as a frappé for 6 bottles of wine or champagne, but it can also be used for other purposes, as shown in the picture.
