In the year 1941, a group of Portuguese initiated a movement that culminated in a national fundraising campaign to manufacture a queen's crown destined for Our Lady of Fatima. Casa Leitão received thousands of pieces offered by the Portuguese and graciously crafted with this gold, silver, and gemstones, in the year 1942, the Crown of Our Lady, which constitutes the most remarkable work of Portuguese jewelry of the 20th century and, simultaneously, the most well-known in the world.
